WARDOGS Support Leveling (Fastest XP)

Updated 16 Sep 2026 · Early Access
The short answer

Support gains XP faster than any other class in WARDOGS, and it does it away from the front line. Bring a FOB kit, plant it, and build with the hammer: every wall, gate, turret and sandbag pays Support XP. Unlock the large hammer at support level 8 to build faster, which means more XP for the same time, then run the anti-aircraft launcher to farm helicopters for XP and cash. If you would rather fight, destroying high-value targets like spawn vehicles and enemy helicopters also feeds the tree fast.

Why Support gains XP the fastest

Building is the most reliable XP faucet in the game. It pays per structure, it does not depend on winning gunfights, and you can do it in relative safety behind your own walls. That combination is why a dedicated builder out-levels most combat players over a session. The catch is that it can be dull, so the trick is to build things that also help your team win, not to spam useless walls.

Build at a FOB, and get the large hammer first

Buy a FOB kit ($7,500), plant it near your team's side of the map, and build. The medium hammer unlocks at support level 3 and the large hammer at level 8. Rush the large hammer, because it finishes structures faster, which is directly more XP per minute, and it is the only tool that builds the drill and the heavy weapons. Reinforce walls, add gates, and put down turrets and emplacements. Every piece counts toward the level, so keep the hammer swinging whenever the base is safe.

The anti-air launcher is the best single farm

Once you have the large hammer, the anti-aircraft missile launcher is the standout XP and money earner. Helicopters are everywhere, each kill is worth a lot, and shooting them down denies the enemy their air power at the same time. Build one, keep it supplied with ammo, and punish every chopper that strays into range. Pair it with a teammate on Recon who spots the helicopters first and you both cash in.

The support unlock ladder

Key support unlocks
LevelUnlockWhy it matters
3Medium hammerBetter walls and more structures than the starter.
8Large hammerBuilds fastest, needed for the drill and heavy weapons. The unlock to rush.
10M500 shotgunWith slug ammo it reaches out far enough to farm kills, not just XP.
15LMGDeploy the bipod and it becomes a near-zero-recoil long-range gun. ADS is slow, so treat it as a held-angle weapon.

Higher up you unlock a bigger box magazine for the LMG, the PKM, and finally the grenade launcher at level 35. Stronger rocket launchers arrive along the way for cracking vehicles and bases.

Level Support without building

If building bores you, chase high-value targets instead. Spawn vehicles, helicopters, armoured vehicles and enemy FOBs all pay large Support XP when you destroy them. The cheapest way in is a pocket IED: it costs around $300 and a single one that kills an enemy spawn vehicle pays for itself many times over. Carry a shotgun or an RPG, hunt those targets, and the tree still climbs quickly. You can also double-dip: deposit the supplies from a supply run into a FOB and that deposit pays Support XP on top of the Driver XP for the delivery.

Build smart, not just a lot

Space your drills apart so a single artillery shell cannot wipe them, and protect the FOB core before you expand outward. A ringed outer wall is useless if the box itself is exposed.
