WARDOGS Hot Zone, Towers & Scoring

Updated 10 Sep 2026 · Early Access
The short answer

Scoring in WARDOGS works like King of the Hill for three teams. Whoever has the most players inside the large control zone earns a point every 30 seconds, and the first team to 100 wins. Inside that zone sits a smaller Hot Zone where every player counts twice, and you drag it toward your team by capturing towers or running a FOB drill.

Learning how the zone, the Hot Zone, and the towers connect is the difference between farming points and running in circles.

How does scoring work?

Three teams fight over one large control zone, a circle roughly 2 by 2 km on the map. The team with more players inside it than the other two scores 1 point every 30 seconds, and the zone takes that team's color. First to 100 points wins.

Your minimap, bottom left, shows each team's points as the large number and their players in the zone as the small number next to the person icon.

What is the Hot Zone?

The Hot Zone is a smaller zone that moves around inside the main one. Every player standing in it counts twice for control, so a few players in the Hot Zone can out-score a larger group spread thin across the circle. Standing in it also pays extra cash.

Towers: pulling the Hot Zone

The zone holds 2 to 5 towers. They start neutral, and shortly after the match begins you capture one from a console on its second floor. Each tower you take gives you one digit of a code. Enter the full code, whether by capturing every tower or guessing the rest, and the Hot Zone moves to that tower. The other way to pull it is a FOB drill.

The spawn vehicle

When any team reaches 20 points, all three teams get an armored spawn vehicle at base. You can drive it anywhere and your team can spawn on it. It has a 10-minute cooldown after each use, and if its satellite gets destroyed, spawning stops until someone repairs it.
