WARDOGS Driver Leveling (Fastest XP)

Updated 16 Sep 2026 · Early Access
The short answer

Driver is the most tedious tree in WARDOGS, so the goal is to make every trip count double. Unlock the U-Haul supply truck at driver level 3, load whatever your FOB is short on, and drive it out: unloading the truck pays Driver XP and money, and depositing those same supplies into the FOB pays Support XP. One run, two classes. Grind that loop toward the heavy tank at level 35, or skip the grind and drive a friend's tank, since everyone in a vehicle earns Driver XP on any kill.

Why Driver is the slow one, and how to speed it up

Early Driver XP is meant to come from ferrying teammates, but most players take the helicopter, so begging for passengers rarely works. The fix is to stop relying on people and start hauling supplies, which pays reliably and does not need anyone else to cooperate. That one change turns the worst grind in the game into a steady one.

The U-Haul double-dip run

Buy the first vehicle, the Kodiak, for $2,500 to get moving, and reach driver level 3 to unlock the U-Haul supply truck, the farm you will use all the way to the cap. Open the map and read the supply bars on your FOB, load whatever is low, and drive out. A clean trip takes three to five minutes across open ground, since the truck is not much slower off-road. Unload the truck for Driver XP and money, then deposit the supplies into the FOB by hand for Support XP. When you are done, respawn instead of driving home; teleporting back is faster than the return trip.

The driver unlock ladder

Key driver unlocks
LevelUnlockWhy it matters
3U-Haul supply truckThe safe, consistent farm that carries you to level 35.
~15-20Bulletproof Humvee (mounted MG)First combat vehicle worth using; armoured, and it earns Driver XP through kills.
30Minigun HumveeStronger combat option on the road to the tank.
35Heavy tankThe reason most people grind Driver at all. A monster on the battlefield.

Skip the Kodiak's armed variant. It is fragile and dies fast, so it is not worth the money over the truck.

Skip the grind: crew a friend's tank

The heavy tank needs a crew, and anyone in the vehicle earns Driver XP whenever the vehicle gets a kill. So the fastest path is often not driving supplies at all: find a friend who already unlocked the tank and offer to be their driver or gunner. They buy it, you both level, and you dodge the worst of the grind. Also remember to drive your team's spawn APC to the front when it appears, since players spawning on it pay you XP and cash too.

Do not haul what is already full

Check the FOB's supply bars before you load. Bringing a truck of build supplies to a base that only needs fuel wastes the whole trip. Take whatever the bars show as lowest.
