WARDOGS How to Attack a FOB
To attack an enemy FOB in WARDOGS you get through the walls and shut down the weapons. Pry built doors open with a crowbar, or blow doors and gates with an IED or C4. Neutralise the CIWS and Talon anti-air by killing the operator, since both are useless without someone manning them. If you have air support, attack the CIWS from directly above, because it cannot aim straight up. And always hit half-built structures first, because an unfinished build has a fraction of the hit points of a finished one.
Get through the walls
Enemy doors and gates cannot be opened normally, but they can be broken. Bring a crowbar to pry built doors open by hand, quietly, which is the cleanest entry. The large hammer also has a crowbar on it, so a support player can double as a breacher. For gates, or when you want speed over stealth, an IED or C4 blows them open. This is why smart builders add fake doors and gates, hoping you waste an explosive on the wrong one.
Shut down the anti-air first
The CIWS and the Talon launcher are what keep your helicopters out of the fight, and both depend on a person. The CIWS is fired from a laptop next to it, so kill whoever is standing at the laptop and it goes quiet. The Talon has someone sitting inside it. Take the operator out and the weapon is dead weight until they respawn and run back to it. Note where the CIWS laptop faces before you commit, and approach from the blind side.
Use the CIWS blind spot from the air
If you are flying, the CIWS has a hard limit: it cannot aim straight up. There is a cone directly above it where you are safe, and it is wider than it looks. Come in low and unseen, pop up over the weapon, and orbit in that cone while you shoot the operator or the CIWS itself. The Talon has the same weakness, and it also loses its lock if you fly past or over it quickly, so speed and altitude beat it.
Break what is half-built
Timing wins sieges. An unfinished structure has far fewer hit points than a completed one, so a CIWS being built to ninety percent dies to a handful of rounds, while the finished version tanks hundreds. Watch for construction going up and destroy it before it hardens. On the ground, priming the assault with mortar fire on their drills and spawn vehicle softens the base before your infantry ever reach the wall.
Do not roll up to a fortified base with only a rifle. Carry a crowbar or an explosive for entry, and if you are in an attack helicopter, remember a single rocket destroys a jeep or car outright, which is often what is ferrying their anti-air ammo.
