WARDOGS Tips & Tricks (New Players)

Updated 16 Sep 2026 · Early Access
The short answer

The tips that help most in WARDOGS are the small habits nobody tells you. Carry loose ammo instead of extra magazines and press the pack key to refill mags. Hold breath to steady your aim and add a little zoom. Always take the free resuscitator and binoculars, because both earn cash. Close the doors behind you at a friendly FOB. And when an enemy spawn APC shows up, shoot its antenna to switch it off. None of these need a better weapon, just knowing they exist.

Loadout and inventory tips

Small habits, big savings
TipWhy it helps
Carry loose ammo, not magsA 30-round mag takes the space of about 80 loose rounds. More ammo, more room, less money spent.
Press the pack key in coverRefills every empty magazine at once instead of dragging ammo into each by hand.
Rebuy your last loadoutThe vendor has a one-click rebuy button. Skip rebuilding the kit from scratch every death.
Watch the weight barGo over the heavy threshold and you lose your tactical sprint. Mags and smoke are heavy, ammo is light.
Take a tac vest for quick slotsHold the quick-item key to open a wheel and grab from your backpack without opening the full menu.

Combat tips

Win more fights
TipWhy it helps
Hold breath while aimingSteadies the weapon and adds a small zoom. Works on every gun, not just snipers.
Tactical reload in a firefightHold the reload key to drop the mag on the ground and reload faster when you just need to keep shooting.
Bind a holster keyPutting your gun away lets you sprint faster across open ground, where you want to be a hard target.
Single fire at rangeTap-firing beats fighting full-auto recoil you cannot control past mid-range.
Loot bodies on long livesYou will run out of ammo, heals and revives. Refill from the fallen instead of dying dry.

Objective and base tips

Help the team, earn more
TipWhy it helps
Mark helicopters with binocularsSpot a chopper before your anti-air kills it and you get a share of the XP and cash from everyone aboard.
Close friendly FOB doorsDoors auto-close after 30 seconds, but gates never do. An open gate is an open invitation.
Shoot an enemy APC's antennaDisables its ability to spawn infantry with no explosives, starving the enemy push.
Read the FOB supply barsHover the base icon on the map to see which of build, fuel, ammo or mechanical is low before you haul.
Zero your sniperA rangefinder gives you the distance; page up and down set the zero so long shots land first try.
Heal others, not yourself, for money

Reviving and healing teammates pays cash and XP; the same items used on yourself pay nothing. After someone revives you, heal them back. This little loop is a steady earner all game long.
