WARDOGS Best FOV & Visibility Settings

Updated 15 Sep 2026 · Early Access
The short answer

For visibility in WARDOGS, run a high FOV (around 95 is a good start) because it widens your peripheral view without shrinking your scopes, since FOV and scope zoom are separate. Then keep view distance high, drop shadows to low, and pull sharpness below default so players stand out against terrain instead of blending in. The map has long sight lines, so the whole aim is spotting enemies before they spot you.

What FOV to run

A higher field of view shows more around you, which matters in a game where flanks are common. Around 95 is a sensible starting point: wide enough for good peripheral vision, not so wide that distant enemies shrink into the scenery. The key thing players miss is that FOV does not zoom your scopes, so there is no trade-off. Push it up, then nudge it to what feels right on your monitor size and distance.

The settings that make enemies visible

Visibility is less about raw graphics quality and more about removing what hides a moving player.

Visibility settings
SettingSet it toWhy
View distanceHighYou need to read players across open ground.
ShadowsLowThe single biggest visibility win, and it helps FPS too.
SharpnessBelow defaultOver-sharpening adds noise that camouflages distant enemies.
Motion blur, depth of field, bloomOffThey smear movement and haze the horizon.

Sensitivity that helps you track

Seeing an enemy is half of it; the other half is turning onto them cleanly. Turn mouse acceleration off so the same swipe always moves the same distance, and start near 0.8 at 800 DPI, calibrated with a 180 in the firing range. The full graphics and mouse rundown lives in the best settings guide.
